World Startup Wiki is a community-powered guide for starting a company anywhere in the world. The non profit organization was founded by startup enthusiast, Bowei Gai. The idea is to share and promote information about startup communities worldwide with input from local members.

Iconic was asked to create a video explaining what the World Startup Wiki does and what the brand stands for. We focused on the personal story of Bowei Gai. Gai, a serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur, traveled around the world for nine months, totaling 29 countries and 36 cities. With one main goal: to understand what it takes to build a startup in these countries, from facts to names, from culture to opportunites. World start up wiki is the place, where Bowei and his team have seeded their data to motivate others would join in and turn this open platform into a Wikipedia for building startups anywhere in the world.
